Children of the Universe: Glossary
Liu was created during the Big Bang. It gave birth to eight Quis (KEE) that govern a specific domain. Cotu are the children of these Quis. This figure shows the breakdown of each domain and some of the characters lineage.

Additional Terms
Qui (KEE): Original children of Liu. Govern respective domains in the universe. Work hand and hand with Nature to maintain balance.
Guardian: A Cotu that is promoted to a power of a Qui after the original Qui passes away.
Cotu: A child of a Qui or Guardian. Also known as "Children of the Universe." They hold respective powers from the domain they were born into.
Fanren: Also known as humans. These individuals were created out of evolution and do not hold any special powers. They can have offspring with a Qui, Guardian or Cotu.
Cango: The village in which all Quis, Guardians and Cotu live. Located atop a mountain in the Indian Ocean.
CUA: Cango Universal Academy. The "College" for Cotu students located in Cango.
Mental Realm: Another realm that lies between the fabric of the Physical realm and dreams.
Physical realm: The realm in which life can be perceived by physical senses.
Shenzhi: Energy emitted upon arrival to the Mental realm displaying balance.
Lost Souls: Cotu that entered the Mental realm, but were unable to return to their physical bodies.
The Refuge: The underground base camp Mr. Bane created to house the resistance
